The suburb of Parramatta offers an extensive mix of high-rise apartments, heritage buildings, terrace/town homes, new & older style brick homes and weatherboard homes. It is within close proximity to over 140 restaurants, cafes and food outlets. There are 48 public and private primary and secondary schools in Parramatta as well as a wide range of specialist colleges and even a university. You will also find a range of fitness centres, sports grounds and golf courses as well as the Historic Parramatta Park.

The area is steeped in Heritage, it hosts Old Government House in Parramatta Park which is Australia’s oldest public building and The Roxy Theatre, which was built in the 1920s and has been restored to its original condition. Parramatta is the leading major retail centre of Sydney’s west with 600 retail outlets. Westfield Shoppingtown attracts over 19 million visitors annually. The Riverbank Centre is located at the other end of the city with 55 fashion, food and homeware stores. Transport around Parramatta will never be a problem, it is located 24.5 km west of the city, there are two central train lines servicing the area including a train service to the city that takes 30 minutes as well as a large network of buses plus the appealing Parramatta River Cat, which takes approximately 1 hour to reach Circular Quay. Newly introduced to Parramatta and North Parramatta is 'the loop', a free bus service. The Loop travels from the Parramatta CBD (shops, station etc) up to North Parramatta, and continues to loop this route each day.
